About Cultured Aquatic Life

Cultured Aquatic Life was founded by one of the pioneers involved with saving the earth’s coral reefs from current world extinction.  We buy once (“from the ocean” as we say) and grow and propagate this particular coral species until it has new growth which then can be separated from the mother colony.  At this point the newly separated piece is grown until ready for commercial sale. Yes, it’s very easy and cheaper to continuously take from the ocean wild colonies, but this is not helping or saving the coral reefs.

We like to teach those interested in preserving the oceans, the human life support of the earth, not only for the beauty it beholds, but the true foundation to all life on the planet. As a family owned business, each of us share in this critical mission.

Sustainable Practices and Coral Propagation

We grow our corals under the same artificial conditions as would the hobbyist.  Unlike our biggest competitor down south growing under sunlight or the wholesalers on the west coast managing coral farms in the wild oceans, our corals when placed in hobbyist’s aquarium thrive and stay their beautiful colors as they are in our grow out systems. We pride ourselves for what small contribution we are making in  “Actively Saving The Reef” !!!
