Tank Maintenance Services > Tank Maintenance
Professional Tank Maintenance
Commercial and residential aquariums require maintenance which directly effects the health of the inhabitants and
beauty of the display. Your aquarium provides the greatest pleasure when it is fresh, clean and well managed by
Cultured Aquatic Life. We do service both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, but we specialize in reefs. We are
professional, experienced and dependable. We maintain aquariums that range from 55 gallons to 2400 gallons. We carry
all the necessary supplies for a healthy and successful aquarium.
We also consult for the design of new or upgraded systems and do professional installations at competitive
pricing.
We offer our service to businesses and individuals that want an attractive feature for the office, place of
business, or home. It is not for people who are looking to avoid the responsibilities of having a tank. With our
service, daily feeding, evaporated water replenishment, and some common aquatic sense will be required. Your
responsibility is basically as easy as watching over indoor house plants.
If you need someone to call when your tank needs help; need advice on fish selection; require help with removing
unsuitable specimens ... and you are willing to pay for the service; then a Tank Maintenance Service Contract may be
for you.
A tank maintenance service will not insure or warrantee your system, nor will it defray your overall costs. It
will insure the best treatment and products are used to keep your investment manageable.

Scheduling:
Maintenance can be scheduled after 6:00 PM each weekday and between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on weekends. This will allow
service to be done without any intrusion to your daily business operation. Our goal is to have you show your
beautiful display tank without our personnel being present.
Maintenance can be as simple as once per month or even every other month, to weekly visits. You can use this service
as a learning tool until you, or a member of your staff (or household), feel comfortable with the duties
involved.
Contract:
Maintenance agreement is a contract between two parties, spelling out responsibilities. A contract may be terminated
in writing (via USPS) or by sending an e-mail before next scheduled visit.
Rates:
Service charges are incurred at $75.00 per visit, for tanks 75 gallons and under; $100.00 for 90 to 125 gallon tanks;
larger tank maintenance fees are determined on an individual basis. Maximum time between visits must not exceed
45
days. One free consultation visit is allowed within a period of 30 days after each maintenance appointment.
Additional visits (during normal business hours) are $10.00 per 15 minutes, fee waived with delivery of purchase of
$35.00 or more from Cultured Aquatic Life.
Questions:
General questions sent via e-mail are always free. A reply should be received within a twenty-four hour period. If a
need arises due to the health of the aquarium, please call us immediately.
Non-Customer (no contract) Rates:
When no service contract is in place the charge is $150.00 dollars per hour. Parts and supplies are not included
and will be billed at the regular online price.
Emergency Service:
Emergency service is available 24/7 with a signed contract. The charge is $100.00 dollars per hour. The charge is waived if problem is a
result of Cultured Aquatic Life personnel mistake.
Supplemental Equipment:
Cultured Aquatic Life will loan you a pre-colonized sponge filter or UV clarifier, to get you over problems in
establishing or re-establishing your tank. Every effort will be made to keep your water crystal clear and attractive
to you and your visitors or patrons.
Warrantee of Equipment:
All electrical equipment purchased from Cultured Aquatic Life is guaranteed for as long as the monthly maintenance
contract is kept. For example, if your heater or pump motor should fail, we will replace it free of charge.
Lighting (Bulbs):
Light bulbs will be replaced with new ones, on a one bulb per month basis, beginning 12 months after service contract
starts!
The Special Touch:
With your consent we offer a special touch. From time to time, your rocks and plastic (or silk) plants we will
replace with similar ones. This will bring a new look to your tank. Your original items will be removed, cleaned and
if in displayable condition (show tank worthy), may be returned on the next "special touch cycle".
The Problem Specimen
In certain cases should you have a specimen that needs quarantine we might be able to aid in it's recovery at our
facility. Also, if a specimen is just antisocial in the aquarium setting, we could exchange it for a new more
socially accepted specimen. This is one reason why Cultured Aquatic Life prefers to supply any live stock.
