We are pleased to offer our 100% Aquacultured Live Rock which is an alternative to harvested Live Rock. Our live rock is made from dry base rock which is aquacultured in stock tanks for at least two to three years. After years of being in the stock tanks, the dry base rock starts to show pods, fan worms, and some times coralline algae growth. It is only then considered part of our exclusive live rock selection. 

Our live rock is full of beneficial organisms that add biodiversity to your aquarium, provide a food source for certain species and help clarify your water.  Do not compare our live rock to the collected live rock from the oceans.  Walt Smith's naturally cultured live rock from the wild oceans farms could have some unwanted hitch-hikers. We guarantee no unwanted hitch-hikers.  Plus our rock, if picked up locally, will never experience die off which greatly differs from other rocks shipped out of water (for days) across many time zones.  The recovery process from die off on live rock takes a long period of time to fully cure again.  In fact our live rock can be placed immediately in your show tank ... it's just another guarantee we can offer.

We have been doing this aquacultured live rock for many years and at least a 100 pounds of our original aquacultured live rock remains in the stock tank system (which is never for sale) to continuously seed the new dry base rock.

Live rock is available in Fiji Premium and Pukani.  We have very limited amounts of live Tonga Branch rock.
