Cultured Aquatic Life is dedicated to the marine reef aquarium hobby. We specialize in the propagation of aquatic life.
In order to preserve the wild reefs and the aquatic life that lives within, for generations
to come, we need to depend more heavily on cultured animals.
As the largest
commercial coral propagation facility in Connecticut, we supply to
communities throughout the Northeast, highly resilient, hearty
aquatic life which is more likely to survive and flourish in captivity.
We offer our cultured livestock directly to wholesalers and to local pet
stores. If your LFS doesn't have what you need at the right price,
give us a call, we'll help you get what you need.
We recently started to supply (stock)
saltwater and freshwater livestock. Some livestock (fishes) are tank raised,
but not at our facility. We also carry some dry goods (supplies,
tanks, stands) and/or can special order them at near wholesale prices.
Corals are now among the most wanted living beings for decoration of home marine aquariums.
It took many decades for scholars and hobbyists to understand and develop the necessary
conditions to grow healthy corals in captivity, but we are now well into the "Coral Era"
of the fish keeping hobby. Many species can now be kept even by relatively beginner aquarists,
as long as a minimal amount of study time is invested.
We are different and feel we deliver better corals than our
competitors. Unlike our largest competitor, our corals are grown under 100% artificial
lighting and in synthetic seawater. Our corals are grown in conditions most closely
resembling a hobbyist's tank.
Ask your local fish store (LFS) if they carry CAL corals. If they don't carry CAL corals,
contact us directly and we be happy to assist you in your needs.
